Meet Clare Beach, the powerhouse behind Azura Events Limited. As the PCO and Managing Director, Clare is known for her tireless enthusiasm, ‘can do’ attitude, and impeccable attention to detail – qualities her clients have come to rely on. With a wealth of experience in both commercial and not-for-profit conference organisations, Clare is a true expert in her field. A self-proclaimed ‘list Queen’, Clare takes pride in her meticulous approach to every task. Elected onto the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) Board from 2014 to 2018, she continues to benefit from the invaluable networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities the association offers.

Clare’s passion for sustainability and accessibility shines through in her work, as she strives to make events as welcoming and eco-friendly as possible. Whether it’s exploring ideas with clients or collaborating with suppliers, she’s always on the lookout for innovative ideas to reduce environmental impact and ensure a positive experience for all involved.

When she’s not busy orchestrating conferences, you’ll find Clare soaking up the charms of South Devon with her family and friends. From cooking up a storm in the kitchen to walking her Fox Red Labrador, she embraces every moment. A keen walker, singer, runner, reader, wild swimmer, paddleboarder and co-founder organiser of her village Up the Creek Regatta, Clare finds lots of inspiration from adventures on, in or by the water.

Kirsty Melvin

Kirsty has over 20 years of experience in the events industry. She started her career in the charity sector, organising a wide range of events from small regional information days to large-scale fundraising gala dinners. After moving into the events agency world, Kirsty discovered her interest in international association conferences and found her niche in abstract and programme management.

Kirsty appreciates the flexibility of working remotely while continuing to work on exciting conferences around the world.

When she isn’t working, Kirsty keeps herself busy with her two children. She loves travelling and is always planning the next family adventure.

Catherine Ross, is more likely to say “yes, how?” than “no”. She harnesses her built-in optimism to make things happen and brings people together to ensure success. Her wide range of work keeps things fresh and interesting, satisfying her creativity and passion for developing new skills.

Catherine has been working in communications since the dawn of this millennium. With experience working for global corporations, start-up businesses, charities, government agencies and the NHS she draws on her 20-plus-year career to create effective and ambitious communications campaigns. Never satisfied with standing still, she has a constant eye on inclusion and accessibility, ensuring everyone is welcomed and celebrated.

Outside of work, Catherine organises life around raising two teenagers, supporting their passions and providing a reliable and very reasonable taxi service. She loves nothing more than being outdoors, preferably by the sea. Walking and talking with friends is her greatest pleasure. And because we only live once, Catherine has just started studying with the Open University and has secured a nomination to stand as a Parliamentary Candidate in the next general election.

Lara Trinder

Lara is very excited about joining the Azura team, which gives her the opportunity to work in a new sector as part of a larger team delivering world-class professional conferences and events. She hopes to apply her knowledge of financial systems to create efficiencies and greater insight.

Lara has been running her own bookkeeping and accountancy practice for nearly 30 years. She has worked with artists, designers, farmers, shoemakers, tradespeople, copywriters, asset managers and talent agents. She really enjoys the variety and the challenge of understanding how different businesses function. She works hard to provide practical, accessible support and insight to business owners who are often too busy to delve into the financial side of their businesses.

When she isn’t working, Lara can be found outside walking, cycling or gardening, and if the weather is bad, she’ll be cooking or attempting some craft or other, often badly, always with a great deal of joy.
